When the communists took over they tried to stamp out the peoples faith. They took down crosses and closed churches. The people began putting crosses on this hill as a testimony to their faith in Christ. The communists took them down. The people put up twice as many. This was repeated over and over until the communists gave up. People still bring crosses to this hill. It is still a solemn testament to their faith in Jesus Christ.
